So my first experience with CF is the with the girl they call Cindy
- 5 Pull-ups
-10 Push-ups
-15 Squats
For 20 minutes on the minute.
I was able to do this fairly easy, it took about 30 secs per round and I consistantly had another 30 secs for a rest period, and yes I was being monitored. I was breathing pretty hard and sweating pretty heavily, but I definately could have rolled through some more rounds. After Cindy I did a tabata on the row machine, I forget the distance they had me do( That was an ass kicker). I see that this is what is refered to as a “bench mark” wod. (Still learning all the CF lingo, forgive me if I screw it up. I’ll get it right.)

I was just wondering how I compare to the other athletes that have done this before. I was told just to do it every minute on the minute, but I’m sure some CF’s out there can roll straight through, I was hoping that some people could post some stats so that I could compare where I’m at and set a goal for where I should be. Thanks.

Actually, there is (ideally) no rest in Cindy. It’s as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes. What you did is a shorted version of Chelsea, which as Rx’d goes on for 30 minutes, not 20.

I see. From reading some of the workouts I figured it was altered how you explained it. Regardless, I guess the follow up question is simply how many do the CF’s do in 20minutes?

At BrandX the record for Cindy stands at 39 rounds (I believe). This was done by one of their kids, with one or two trainers counting reps and making sure there were no short-cuts. Pull-ups with arms fully extended at the bottom and chin over bar at the top; push-ups arms fully extended at the top, chest and thigh touching the ground on the bottom, body in a planche position throughout the movement; squats with full hip extension at the top and breaking parallel at the bottom.

What other CF’s do will depend on a lot of variables, one of them being who’s counting. Try the search function and look for “Cindy”, you can check what people post for yourself.

BTW, 20 rounds if pretty good.

And the thing is, with CF your competing with yourself, not with the others out there. Which is one of the reasons why maintaining strict form counts, as it’s the only way you can validly compare today’s effort with the last time this particular WOD came around.

And he did it twice . . . because no one believed he did it so he did it two days in a row . . . and there are two kinds of reps for Garddawg (even if it is his kid on the bars): Right and no-count.  Ain’t no close.

There’s a reason they don’t call it “Fight Gone Good”.

If it helps, a 5’ 2” 13 year old has a shorter distance to cover even in full range of motion than a 6’0’’ tall adult.
Not any less stunning to watch , however.
At 18, 5’ 11” 165 lbs Connor’s record is 32 rounds. ( Fran at 2:14 so still something to beat)
