Well, it’s been a bit of a comedy of errors, but I’m catching up.
Rest day hike ended up being less than restful - the 2 to 6” of heavy wet snow made it more of a workout than planned.  So, took Sat as a rest day.  Then, got notified on Sunday that my dept decided to have a controlled pasture burn Sunday night, so didn’t want to work out on Sun - you never know how these things are going to go, and as a pretty new firefighter, I need to be at the top of my game.  Turned out pretty uneventful, but still three hours of dragging hoses and tools around is a good endurance workout.  SO, back to it today:

Pack 400m, wallball (maybe I should have stuck w/pups)
Run 400m (broken ground, dodging trees and doggie bombs)
40 x 10lb dumbell thrusters
4 rounds + 300m (or so)

Rest - picking up forementioned doggie bombs, probably should have done that first

Attempted 1x7 weighted pullups, got 1 with small assistance band around one knee, no push off ground - which is progress for me, so I’m fairly happy.  Will try again tomorrow.

been a while ... a whole week - this is my problem ... consistency
i hope to do better

so, back after week hiatus and boy did it hit me hard

CFWU minus push ups
10X 15 DL 115lbs, 15 push ups
19:34

heres how it hit me ... trucking along round 3, testy on 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8 barely survived, 9 & 10 killed me
i ended up curled on the floor sweat pouring out of me ... and shaking - thats the new thing
it took me over a half an hour to stop the shakes and an hour to stop sweating

as i was shaking and sweating, i thought about whats different ... usually after a hard workout i sweat, i may even get to pukie along the way, but i’m good within 15-20 min or so ....eating is the problem.  I didn’t eat lunch when i usually do and all i did wasa scarf down some jerky and an apple enroute to the gym, about 45 min before starting WOD ... i’ll watch for coke colored pee, but i think the eating thing did me in ... later in the afternoon, after eating, i felt good enough to go and do an hour and a half of vinyasa hot yoga and feel good afterward

moral of the story (i think) is don’t eat too soon to WOD time but do eat something
