Well, it’s been a bit of a comedy of errors, but I’m catching up.
Rest day hike ended up being less than restful - the 2 to 6” of heavy wet snow made it more of a workout than planned. So, took Sat as a rest day. Then, got notified on Sunday that my dept decided to have a controlled pasture burn Sunday night, so didn’t want to work out on Sun - you never know how these things are going to go, and as a pretty new firefighter, I need to be at the top of my game. Turned out pretty uneventful, but still three hours of dragging hoses and tools around is a good endurance workout. SO, back to it today:
Pack 400m, wallball (maybe I should have stuck w/pups)
Run 400m (broken ground, dodging trees and doggie bombs)
40 x 10lb dumbell thrusters
4 rounds + 300m (or so)
Rest - picking up forementioned doggie bombs, probably should have done that first
Attempted 1x7 weighted pullups, got 1 with small assistance band around one knee, no push off ground - which is progress for me, so I’m fairly happy. Will try again tomorrow.
